Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Talkora collects when you use the site, why we collect it and the choices you have. By using Talkora you agree to it.
What we collect
Account details: the username, email address and password you choose when you sign up. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form and cannot be read by staff.
Profile and content: what you add to your profile, your messages in public rooms and private chats, and pictures or voice messages you upload.
Technical data: your IP address and basic device and browser details, which help us keep the site secure and stop abuse.
How we use it
To run the chat, keep your account working, protect members from spam and abuse, enforce the rules, and answer your messages to us. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Talkora uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember choices such as your language and theme. It does not need cookies to show advertising.
Who can see what
Messages in public rooms are visible to everyone in the room. Private messages are visible to the people in that conversation and, where needed to investigate a report or keep the site safe, to site staff. Your email address is never shown to other members.
Keeping information
We keep your information while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and its data using the contact page. Some records, such as moderation logs, may be kept for a limited time where needed for safety or legal reasons.
Children
Talkora is not for children under 14. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.
Your choices
You can edit your profile at any time, and you can ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted through the contact page.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time and the latest version will always be on this page. Questions? Use the contact page.
